KNOW YOUR DOSHA
Thousands of years before modern medicine provided scientific evidence for the mind-body connection, the sages of India developed Ayurveda, which continues to be one of the world’s most sophisticated and powerful mind-body health systems.
One of the key learnings in Ayurveda, which means, life-science, is the understanding of your mind-body-spirit orientation. Ayurveda is quite complex. However, by learning the fundamentals about our orientation -- how we were born into this earthly world - you can begin to peel back the onion on a deeper understanding of yourself and most importantly, how to achieve and maintain BALANCE regardless of the situational swirls inevitable in life.
In our upcoming class on Sunday, March 8 at 10am we will focus on Know Your Dosha. We will take a Dosha Quiz and learn about our Vikruti and Prakruti. These are Sanskrit terms that describe the difference from how you were born into this world and where you are in your life journey today. The “gap” will enable you to see how near or far you may be from balance. We will discuss tools and techniques you can employ to help build and maintain balance, the most important of which – having a regular meditation practice!
Who Should Attend?
Participants seeking to understand themselves at a much deeper level. If you want to know why you are the way you are and what affects you – this is a great class for you! This understanding can be instrumental in how you live each day – your moods, your reactions, your self-love and connections with others.
What Should You Bring?
Yourself, an open heart and comfy clothing to relax and meditate. Your journal and a writing instrument. Water in a reusable bottle.
